Air Turn

An air turn is a component added to a web when the web must be turned in some way without physical contact.  It is in effect a no contact idler roller.  Carpe Diem has the perfect air turn utilizing its vacuum rollers in a slightly different configuration to become air turns.  In fact, the porous material that normally grabs the web as vacuum is pulled becomes a superb medium to restrict and filter air flow while providing a simple air bearing to frictionlessly levitate the web over the roller.   Importantly, Carpe Diem air turns use very little air while exhibiting high performance.
